In the planning and implementation process of the Prison to Employment Bay Peninsula Reentry Program, stakeholder input sessions were held across counties to gather feedback and insights. Various meetings with key partners were conducted, including probation departments, sheriffs, and community organizations. The region has over 47,000 individuals under supervision, with a mix of local and state oversight. An implementation grant of $1.8 million was awarded, enabling initiatives in San Francisco, San Jose, NOVA, and San Benito to support employment centers, training programs, and service providers. The funds aim to enhance opportunities for justice-involved individuals in workforce and education programs.
