Subitizing C3 (0-5) Missing Addend Missing Subtrahend Missing Minuend Subitizing Level Key Messages and Student response expectations I have two cards with a total of 4 and THIS is one of the cards. What is the other card? 1 How do you know? That is 3 and 1 more makes 4. Critical Learning Phases (KR)/Learning Tractories (C&S)/Standards (CCSS-M)/ Key Learnings (VF or citation) Composer to 4 then 5 (C&S) Find Change +/- with subitizing to 5 (VF adapted from C&S) Find Change +/- with subitizing to 10 (VF adapted from C&S) Changes a number to another number by adding a group (KR) Introduce hidden addend or missing subtrahend or minuend If I have this many but only want 6 how many do I need to take away? Keep the 5 and one from the 4 and take away 3. That leaves 6. Vary language: I want to get to 8 and I only have this card what other card to I need?
