Overview Advance Electronic Data (AED) is a set of information with details about every single item containing goods, which enable a swift customs clearance. An increasing number of countries require AED for inbound international shipments containing goods. Providing correct data in the correct format is required to guarantee the data can be used for customs & delivery. As additional benefit, destination operators will gradually use the data to enhance the delivery process to the adressee (eg phone/SMS/ email notifications). Increasing importance Several countries are tightening the requirements, such as: USA: reserves the right to refuse items without electronic data China and Russia: prioritize items accompanied by data; items without data may incur delays Brazil: charging a fee to the addressee for manual processing UK : following BREXIT, AED is required for shipments to UK also from EU We are committed to working with you to get ready for Advance Electronic Data requirements. What is S10? S10 is a standardized unique postal item identifier recognized worldwide.
