  1. Spring 2023 Statewide Science Paper-Based Accommodated District Coordinator Box Security Envelope School Coordinator Return Instructions

Reminders All To Be Scored and Not To Be Scored materials will ship from each school directly to DRC/Pearson via UPS Schools will still return the District Coordinator (DC) box and Secure envelope/box to Evaluation Services at the end of the testing window Evaluation Services will send out the date and location of take in with your receipts at a later date 2

  3. Prep Materials for Return Verify that ALL secure materials have been collected/accounted for Inspect all secure materials individually to ensure they will be processed accurately: Pre-ID label is applied Remove stray marks from security number barcode Remove any stray planning sheets, periodic tables, reference sheets from TBS test documents DO NOT review test content, student responses, or check through books for stray marks 3

  4. PBT Materials TO BE SCORED Regular print test and answer books Used Science answer books Documents with DNS bubbles gridded that have at least one security seal broken TO BE SCORED Large print & one-item-per-page test materials TO BE SCORED Braille test books 4

PBT Materials NOT TO BE SCORED materials Unused (no security seals broken) regular print test documents Regular print Science test books, used and unused Unused Science answer books (if PreID label applied, bubble DNS) Unused (no security seals broken) special documents, passage booklets, and used test documents that should not be processed for scoring 5

  9. UPS Return DRC/Pearson To Be Scored - All To Be Scored Boxes will have a colored label (Vendor/Grade/Subject) and a UPS label affixed to each box 9

UPS Return Each box will have a UPS-RS label Schools will have either a Ground UPS-RS or Next Day Air UPS-RS label Keep a record of label tracking numbers There is a detachable tracking number located at the bottom of each label UPS-RS number is also located directly above the barcode in the middle of the shipping label 10

  12. UPS Return DRC/Pearson To Be Scored materials MUST be returned by your established pick up date You may return Not To Be Scored materials on the same day All materials must be picked up by the established deadlines 12

  13. UPS Return DRC/Pearson You may return your UPS materials the following ways: Drop Off: Take your materials to a UPS Customer Center or Store. Daily Pickup: Return with your daily on-route pickup. If you have more than 10 boxes, contact UPS to ensure the driver is properly equipped. Schedule Online: Schedule a pickup at www.ups.com/us, then click on Shipping > Schedule a Pickup. (NGSSS and FCLE) returns. Separate pickups must be scheduled for DRC (FSA) and Pearson vendors. The same pickup date and time can be used for both the correct UPS-RS labels to each box. Document the number of boxes per vendor and apply 13

  14. UPS Return DRC/Pearson Schedule by Phone: Schedule a pickup by calling UPS at the appropriate vendor number below. Do not call the UPS general pickup number found on the UPS website. . Schedule your pickup date and time at least 24 hours in advance. There is not a charge for these services 14

District Coordinator Box/Security Envelope DO NOT follow the DC box instructions in the SAC manual Place the following materials, as applicable, in the District Assessment Coordinator ONLY boxes Originals of: Log- in Tickets (CBT) Writing Planning Sheets (CBT & PBT) Work Sheets/Folders (CBT & PBT) Reference Sheets/Periodic Tables (CBT & PBT) 16
