transition….

5.47 SEN support should include planning and preparing for transition,
before a child moves into another setting or school. This can also include a
review of the SEN support being provided or the Education, Health and
Care Plan (EHCP). To support the transition, information should be shared
by the current setting with the receiving setting or school. The current
setting should agree with parents the information to be shared as part of
this planning process

This can also include a review of the SEN support being provided or the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). To support the transition, information should be shared by the current setting with the receiving setting or school. The current setting should agree with parents the information to be shared as part of this planning process 11

Admissions authorities: must consider applications from parents of children who have SEN but do not have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) on the basis of the school s published admissions criteria as part of normal admissions procedures must not refuse to admit a child who has SEN but does not have an EHCP because they do not feel able to cater for those needs must not refuse to admit a child on the grounds that they do not have an EHCP(C o P 1.27) 12
