ROONEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN 2023-2024 Q GOAL 1: STUDENT SUCCESS District Q Goal 1 Rooney Elementary School will increase student achievement in Reading as measured by the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress Assessment from Fall 2023 to Spring of 2024. Maximize achievement and growth for all. Rooney Elementary School will increase student achievement in Math as measured by the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress Assessment from Fall to 2023 to Spring of 2024. Performance Measures (Data/Progress Monitoring) NWEA MAP Projected Proficiency Report by grade level- number of students projected to meet a 4 or 5 on the IAR NWEA MAP School Profile Report (Achievement Percentile Measures) student achieving 60th percentile or above (green/blue) Grade level team meeting notes and reflections (Data Analysis Protocol) ACTION SCHOOL LEVEL TASKS Rooney Instructional leadership team will conduct school-wide data analysis of MAP reports after each assessment window by consulting grade level results and the results of individual student groups. School-wide Data Analysis During grade level collaboration time, grade level teams will review grade level class breakdown by instructional area to make recommendations for students needing additional support/enrichment. Grade level teachers will utilize classroom data monthly to inform instruction for all students. Focus on PLC+ and Collective Efficacy Rooney Instructional leadership team will provide professional learning and guidance around the PLC+ framework to grade level teams. Rooney Instructional leadership team will model and support grade level teams through Collective Efficacy Cycles Grade level teams will use a data analysis protocol to identify grade level needs and the needs of specific student groups.

Engage in critical thinking and problem solving for all. Performance Measures (Data/Progress Monitoring) NWEA MAP Growth report for Math, Reading and Language Usage( Fall, Winter) NWEA MAP School Profile Report (Achievement Percentile Measures) student achieving 60th percentile or above (green/blue) Peer observations reporting 5Essentials Survey Grade level team meeting notes and reflections ACTION SCHOOL LEVEL TASKS Professional Development Staff Needs Assessment Survey- Fall and Winter ( Grade level Collaboration and PLC s) Instructional Leadership team will develop specific and targeted professional development. Classroom teachers will observe three times prior to Spring Break, giving feedback. Classroom teachers will provide opportunities for student discussion giving feedback to their peers. Grade level teams will analyze student data to identify grade level needs and the needs of specific student groups Teacher Collective Efficacy and Student Collaborative Practices
ROONEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN 2023-2024 Q GOAL 3: LEARNING ENVIRONMENT District Q Goal 3 Rooney Elementary will decrease the number of ODRs for insubordination by 5% for all students. (425 total in 22-23) Rooney Elementary will identify and decrease individual student (sub) groups with a high rate of ODRs for disrespect. Maintain secure, healthy, and adaptive schools for all. Performance Measures (Data/Progress Monitoring) 5 Essentials survey Staff Surveys Skyward- Panorama Data Student Attendance Data ODRs for Disrespect by student group ODRs for Insubordination Grade level teams notes and reflections ACTION SCHOOL LEVEL TASKS Rooney Elementary will complete a book study on empowering at risk youth. Professional Development Quarterly grade level collaboration teams will analysis discipline data. Rooney Leadership Team will provide specific professional development on Social Emotional needs of students Implement the Ron Clark House system Increase positive school climate, by increasing student involvement and belonging Young Mens Club Increase student leadership opportunities

Cultivate partnerships with parents, families, and the Quincy community to create successful pathways for all. Performance Measures (Data/Progress Monitoring) Rooney Family event participation numbers/rates Parent Survey on barriers Student Attendance Grade Level Notes and Reflections ACTION SCHOOL LEVEL TASKS Develop a Rooney Family involvement team that includes all stakeholders Parent Survey conducted 3 times a year, September 2023, January 2024 and May 2024. Increasing Family and Community Events Increase Positive student- staff Relationships Grade level pod wars/ challenges Leadership team provides professional development Implement the Ron Clark House system Increasing student average daily attendance Instruction Leadership Team will provide professional development to Rooney certified staff on needed areas. Increase student sense of safety and belonging Rooney School song and leadership assemblies Implement a student leadership team
