The 7 Habits of Highly
Effective People

Habit 1-Be Proactive
First I think
then I make a choice.
Everything I do is a choice.

Habit 2-Begin with the
end in mind
I think about what I want,
then I do what will
make it happen.

Habit 3-Put First Things
First
I only THINK and DO
what is most important.

Habit 4-Think Win-Win
We think of a solution
where no one gives up
anything and everyone
wins.

Habit 5-Seek First to
Understand, Then to Be
Understood
First, I listen to others so
that
I may understand them.
Then, I repeat their thoughts
back.

Habit 6-Synergize
Because we have
different
strengths, we can work
together
to create a better idea
than we could alone.

Habit 7-Sharpen the Saw
I will take care of my body
and
brain, make deposits
in emotional bank accounts
and do what I know is right.

Essential 10

1. When responding to any adult, you must answer by saying, “Yes ma’am,”
“Yes sir,” “No ma’am,” or “No sir.”
2. If anyone is bullying you, let a teacher know. We are not going to let
anyone in this school bully you or make you feel uncomfortable.
3. Make eye contact. When someone is speaking to you, keep your eyes on
him or her at all times.
4. During an assembly, do not speak or look around and try to call out to
friends. We must uphold an image that shows we have our act together.
5. When in a line face forward at all times and walk single file. Maintain one
foot between you and the person in front of you. Your arms should be behind
your back if your hands are empty OR your hands in front of you on your
materials. There will be absolutely no talking.

6. When a substitute teacher is present, you will obey all the same rules that
you follow when I am with you. (I know this is hard, but it is important.)
7.
It is important to be responsible and clean up after yourself to be sure not to
litter. After dining in the cafeteria, clean off the table and make sure you have
not left any trash on the floor or around the eating area.
8.
Accept that you are going to make mistakes. Learn from them and move on.
9.
No matter the circumstances, always BE HONEST. Even if you have done
something wrong, it is best to admit it and apologize.
10. BE THE BEST PERSON YOU CAN BE.
