THE ACADEMY IMPROVEMENT PLAN 2023-2024 Q GOAL 1: STUDENT SUCCESS District Q Goal 1 The Academy will increase the percentage of students meeting or exceeding their Alternative Education Plan (AEP) in the area of academics by overall class completion of 80%. Maximize achievement and growth for all. Performance Measures (Data/Progress Monitoring) Quarterly class completion Student Champion Team (Grade Level) meeting notes and reflections Meeting academic requirements to return to home school environment ACTION SCHOOL LEVEL TASKS Weekly student progress monitor conference with homeroom teacher Weekly student progress monitoring conference with SSFL (Student Support Family Liaison) Bi-weekly student progress conference with administration (acting counselor) School Leadership team will conduct school wide data analysis of AEP progress after each quarter (our semester) to determine group results and who is/is not demonstrating success. Monthly Student Champion Team will review grade level data to make recommendations for students needing additional tiers of support/enrichment. Classroom teachers will utilize classroom data to inform instruction for all students Credit completion toward graduation Spotlighting areas of growth throughout the year School Wide Data Analysis School Leadership team will provide professional learning and guidance around the PLC+ framework to grade level teams. School Leadership team will model and support grade level teams through Collective Efficacy Cycles Student Champion Teams will use a data analysis protocol to identify grade level needs and the needs of specific student groups. Focus on PLC+ and Collective Efficacy

Engage in critical thinking and problem solving for all. Performance Measures (Data/Progress Monitoring) Instructional practice walk-throughs data (baseline data in Fall) each quarter Teacher peer observations/reflection each semester Student/Staff engagement feedback (conferencing and surveys) ACTION SCHOOL LEVEL TASKS Connect Time fidelity and student rubric Check-in, check-out fidelity each period/subject on student progress through teacher mini-conferencing Weekly student/staff progress monitoring during homeroom (Champion Staff) Navigation (SEL lessons) participation rubric Spotlighting areas of growth throughout the year School Wide Data Analysis Curriculum review (District Curriculum Maps and Edgenuity Procedures/Expectations) To be determined by progress monitoring results Peer observation reflection conversations Champion Team collaboration PLC collaboration Leadership Team collaboration Leadership Team facilitation Focus on PLC+ and Collective Efficacy
THE ACADEMY SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN 2023-2024 Q GOAL 3: LEARNING ENVIRONMENT District Q Goal 3 The Academy staff and students will continue to participate in creating a trauma informed learning environment to decrease the number of ODR s for disrespect and skipping class. Maintain secure, healthy, and adaptive schools for all. Performance Measures (Data/Progress Monitoring) Quarterly Office Discipline Referrals (ODR) less than 3 per student Student Champion Team (Grade Level) meeting notes and reflections Meeting behavior requirements to return to home school environment Students will meet or exceed their Alternative Education Plan (AEP) in the area of behavior by 80%. Quarterly reduction of ODR s by 10% from SY 22-23, quarter 4 (disrespect and skipping class) Staff attendance (monthly/quarterly) ACTION SCHOOL LEVEL TASKS School Climate Survey (semester) Weekly & quarterly discipline data analysis Quarterly all school presentation and reflection Quarterly re-entry data & system analysis Quarterly restorative data & system analysis Spotlighting areas of growth throughout the year School Wide Data Analysis Navigation (SEL) lesson development and implementation Professional development in Trauma Informed Learning Environment (including ROE #1 SEL Hub and the brain research of Dr. Bruce Perry) Regulation in all spaces (expectations) SSFL collaboration and facilitation (Skyward entry, discipline referrals, booster implementation/celebrations) Professional development in restorative practices Focus on PLC+ and Collective Efficacy

Cultivate partnerships with parents, families, and the Quincy community to create successful pathways for all. Performance Measures (Data/Progress Monitoring) Monthly Contact Logs (calls, post cards, emails, & home visits) Monthly Skyward documentation fidelity checks (SSFL Collaboration Meetings) Monthly/Quarterly student attendance Monthly social media presence by spotlighting student, staff, and school accomplishments ACTION SCHOOL LEVEL TASKS Positive staff to family phone calls and post cards Problem solving staff to family phone calls Posted calendar events, newsletters, community resources, etc. on school website Spotlighting areas of growth throughout the year School Wide Data Analysis Skyward documentation counseling & coaching Community service projects (1 per semester) Support student/family needs: Post secondary guidance, employment support, & housing resources Focus on PLC+ and Collective Efficacy
