Isa 64:4

perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God
besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.

Salvation is worth the wait, even it means bearing
“reproach” (v. 8)!
o
The reason (vv. 10–12)
The “all peoples” of vv. 6–8 is not universalism,
for God will judge the proud (v. 11).
“The dust” = the same fate of the serpent (cf.
Gen 3:14; Isa 27:1)
