  4. Read Read pp. 140-144 Pay Attention To: examples of meaningful interactions lesson planning for ELLs varied groupings for instruction and activities 4 4

  5. Talk 2 As a group, consider the following question: How do I create a classroom environment in which ELLs feel safe talking to other students? 5 5

  6. Write Think of a lesson that you are going to teach in the next few days. Write four to five stems that will facilitate student-to-student interaction during the lesson. 6 6

  7. Make It Real Look at pp. 145-149. Select an activity that you will implement before the next meeting. Be prepared to share the activity and how it went with the group. 7 7
