CONCLUSION & DISCUSSION Number of of Internet users in Japan is expected to continue increasing (2012: 3.03 million 2023: 97.61 million) people will continue to rely on media No significant differences in reporting trends were observed between traditional and online media sparse international news coverage home country-centered coverage factors influencing international news coverage
