Job growth projected in high skills areas New jobs will demand advanced education and training Areas of greatest growth in Tennessee: 1) Management 36% 2) Health care and social assistance 31% 3) Education Services 29% Jobs in agriculture, forestry, fishing, manufacturing will decline (Chattanooga Times Free Press, June 26, 2013, p. College vs. High School College is voluntary & expensive Each student manages their own time Schedules look lighter than they are Study 2-3 hours, lots of reading Constantly review material Professors may not remind students Performance based, not good faith effort (www.smu.edu/whyhighschool.html)
