Provide educational and training opportunities to qualified
Missouri citizens that leads to employment in a
manufacturing career.
SFCC one of 9 participating community colleges
SFCC’s allocation:  ~$996,000 of $15 million statewide
Grant funding must be used between October 2012 through
September 30

We must find innovative ways to present programs.
These include:
Flexible schedules — “chunking”, 4- ,8-, 12-wk formats
Online or hybrid versions of new courses or programs.
Standard practices to award credit for prior learning
Introduce programs tied to industry and/or WorkKeys
certifications
Structure programs into stackable career pathways
