Celtic-NG strategic orientations More Involvement of SMEs SME representatives in the Celtic Core group Work with National Clusters Celtic-NG SMEs profile database for better SME visibility Support of newly created Start-ups and collaborate with Innovest Link with venture capital/business angels for better RoI Partnering tool Interface to PAs partnering tools Helping finding new/replacement of partners with specific expertise Flexibility to reflect technological and market trends (bottom-up) Allow close to the market projects up to high technology readiness levels. 5 5
Celtic-NG strategic orientations Work more closely with PAs about their National R&D priorities Collect national priorities Organize Innovative Workshop on common priorities with stakeholders from these countries. Help to set up the projects in these domains (Flagship) Collaborate with PAs and project participant for improvements on: Process Tools Position Celtic-NG scope and implementation towards other funding instruments (H2020, EUREKA-Clusters, joint undertakings and national programmes) 6 6
Celtic-NG overall scope Networking and Cloud enablers: Cyber security, Artificial intelligence, 5G and beyond, FinTech, Big Data; business analytics, IoT, Cloud Applications, Services and Verticals Content Services (Video, Gaming ) e-health, Smart-Cities, -Agriculture, -Mobility, -Energy, Automotive Telecom, I 4.0 Celtic E2E approach extended to Verticals Complementarity with the other clusters Different angles: E2E connectivity and security for the Verticals. 7 7
New Governance Evolution of the Core Group New Core Group members according to new technological areas SME representative in the Core Group Improve our process with PAs Improve the synchronisation for funding decisions Simplify and improve our process (see next slide) PAs to accept the English Celtic-NG project proposal in the national applications. Workshop with PAs to improve the process and achieve convergence of the application documents Community building Link to SME associations Improve collaboration with Eurostars. 8 8
Improved Call Process Jan. Goal: Dec. Feb. Abstracts for feedback Reduce the hurdle to first feedback For some Celtic participants the elaboration of a full proposal without prior feed back on the validity of their idea might be considered as too risky. Proposal: formalise a GoE feedback loop based on abstracts before the call deadline Nov. March Autumn Call Oct. April Spring Call Sept. May Abstracts for feedback August June July 9
