  4. Centers for Disease Control Food Service Guidelines for Federal Facilities What guides the work? What guides the work? The Food Service Guidelines for Federal Facilities is a set of voluntary best business practices that can be used to increase healthy and safe food options for employees. The standards in the Food Service Guidelines for Federal Facilities are designed to achieve three primary goals: Healthier foods and beverages are available and encouraged at federal facilities. Environmentally responsible practices are conducted in federal food service venues. Food safety practices are followed to minimize the risk of foodborne illnesses. I m glad they are recognizing that we need to be healthier, we need self-care. A lot of times a lot of us don t do self- care because we are worried about everyone else s care but our own, Steve Summers, Foster Care Coordinator for Menominee County Human Services.

  8. POLICY FROM THE INSIDE OUT 3 community partners implementing innovative policies steeped in local culture and values 2 new community partners have draft policies 3 new proposed community partners in this FFY 15 community partners with nutrition/wellness policies by the grant end!!!
