Marriage brings a man and a woman together to buildafamily. The family is the unit that makes up the society. God in His immeasurable wisdom instituted (created) marriage in order to sustain human race. Marriage is not for children; However, God expects every child to fulfil His plan, grow up, become mature, get married and multiply to continueGod s creativeprocess. INTRODUCTION:

POINT 1: GOD S PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR MARRIAGE AND THE FAMILY God s plan for marriage is that a man and a woman agree to become husband and wife God s plan is not for a man and a man or a woman and a woman to be married Marriage is NOT between a child and an adult. POINT 1: GODS PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR MARRIAGE AND THE FAMILY CONT D. Marriage is a part of order of God s creation which serves the following purposes: i. Partnership/Fellowship: it is not good for a man to be alone, so marriage provides relationship with other members of the family ii. Procreation (bearing of Children): Through marriage, children are born, nourished physically and spiritually, trained to become good citizens and prepared for their own future. iii.Protection: Family members are protected in the union of God-ordained marriage.
POINT 1: GODS PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR MARRIAGE AND THE FAMILY CONT D. Marriage is a part of order of God s creation which serves the following purposes: iv. Provision: Through marriage, there is provision of daily needs of the family members such as food, clothes, shelter and other essential things. v. Purity: God s nature of holiness is revealed and encouraged in the union of marriage and family. Therefore, all members are taught the way of God.
A Marriage and Family that honor God will show these characteristics listed below: POINT 2: 1)Love: Every member of the family should love one another even as Jesus Christ has loved us unconditionally CHARACTERISTICS OF A GODLY MARRIAGE AND 2)Unity and Oneness: The members of the family need to agree and work together as a team does FAMILY Ephesians 5: 21-33, Colossians 3: 18-24 3)Holiness and the Fear of God: The husband and wife keeps their marriage vows and teach their children to fear God and live holy.
4) Submission and Respect: The wife submits to the authority and counsel of the husband while the children are obedient to the instructions and teachings of the parents. They also respect their parents and love them. POINT 2: CHARACTERISTICS OF A GODLY MARRIAGE AND FAMILY CONT D. 5) Obedience: All members of the family are to obey God s word in all things

As the strength of a building is determined by the quality of the foundation, so the foundation of the family. Children should also help keep the family healthy by not try to cause disagreement between daddy and mummy Children should pray to God for help when things are not well in the family Do not practise the sin of fornication (boyfriend/girlfriend) because God hates sin As a Child, you can pray and ask God to give you a godly home when the time is right POINT 3: GODLY CHILDREN FULFILLING GOD S PURPOSE IN THE FAMILY CONT D.
If you are a sinful child and your life is not making your parents happy, you can become a new person today. Repent of your sins, ask for forgiveness and cleansing in the blood of Jesus. Invite Jesus to come into your heart to be your Saviour, Lord and Friend Live holy, remain under your parents training and guidance until you grow up and get married to form another family unit.
