Insights from GEW Workshop Organizers: Objectives, Challenges, and Expectations
The Workshop Organizers of GEW, along with participants and Engineers, aim to enhance the performance of GE systems. They are looking for ways to maintain the system, handle special conditions, and improve memory usage. Important expectations include talks on engineering and physics achievements, and the exchange of needs and suggestions among attendees.

Welcome Great Effort from all of you.
Why this Workshop? GET Workshop Lolly Pollacco
From the Workshop Organisers point of view. Who are the Organisers of GEW? There is no official GET Management Board . There are GET engineers & physicists who take care of GET. Daniel, Eric, Frederic, Frederic, Gilles, Jer me, Lolly, Nathan, Pascal, Shebli, Who are the partcipants 24 users (full & partial systems) Interested in using GET Interested in instrumentation Organisers objectives To improve the performance of GET Your feedback from your experience Our response To extend & support GET Hardware, Firmware & Software Find & Fund a GET Management Board to maintain the system To go beyond GET STREAM
From the Workshop Organisers point of view. To maintain the system As you know we have residual difficulties - need to be cleared Need to handle special conditions (You to suggest)? Need some vectorisation to reduce the data onto disc? Vectorisation = eg ToT/Peak/Background/Tstart other possibilities to liberate memory on CoBo other possibilities that will increase memory?
Important expectations A number of talks have been scheduled A catalalog of what other eng & phys are trying to do. We suggest that it would be great if you take your time to exchange your needs & suggestions between you.
