Presented by:

Dr. Tony Nunez, Associate Dean, The Graduate School

Dr. Judith Stoddart, Senior Associate Dean, The Graduate School

Graduate program handbooks provide valuable information about the expectations and
values of the specific programs. However, many expectations concerning graduate
education are not always obvious or explicit, and misalignment of the expectations of
students and their faculty advisors can be the source of conflicts and result in wasted time.
This short workshop explores effective ways to clarify and align expectations in order to
minimize conflicts and enhance productivity.
