  2. This session will cover: This session will cover: Grants Exhibitors Sponsors

  3. Abbreviations Abbreviations LOA Letter of Agreement

  4. Letters of Agreements Letters of Agreements This is a signed agreement that both the exhibitor/sponsor and CPL signs. It lists the terms of the agreement, the price the exhibitor will pay and includes all of the contact information for the exhibitor/sponsor. It will also include the information for them to pay CPL on behalf of the conference.

  5. Grant Signing Grant Signing Any program can apply for a grant to help support your activity. For large conferences, this task needs to be handled by CPL Staff, because of the nature of the items requested by the grantor. CPL Staff sign as the Accredited Provider. The Education Planning Faculty will sign as the planner.

  6. Grant Income & Expense Report Grant Income & Expense Report If you are awarded a grant, a budget (Income & Expense Report) must be submitted to CPL by December 31, which shows how those funds were spent. A simple Excel spreadsheet that shows were the funds were spent each week for food, as an example, is sufficient. 4/12/21 - $31.05 Catering Company s Name

  7. What is an Exhibitor? What is an Exhibitor? A company that pays an amount to advertise at an activity is considered an exhibitor. They are allowed to place a display table at the in-person meeting or display in the virtual channel for the exhibitors. This is typically for larger conferences or courses.

  8. Exhibitor Letter of Agreements Exhibitor Letter of Agreements Some activities solicit exhibitors to help fund their conference. CPL Staff must review the Letter of Agreement (LOA) and sign on behalf of the conference. We can use CPL s LOA or the companies, depending on their needs. CPL charges $55/LOA for this review.

  9. Exhibitor Space Requirements Exhibitor Space Requirements Exhibitor/sponsors cannot be given direct access to the attendees of any ACCME accredited activity, either in-person or virtually. Exhibitors and sponsors must be in a separate promotional space, so it would be an attendee s deliberate, voluntary and informed choice to visit the Exhibit/Sponsorship area.

  10. Exhibitor Logos Exhibitor Logos We must create a clear, unbridgeable separation between accredited continuing education and marketing and sales. The company names are listed in a generic font and no logos on promotional materials.

  11. What is a Sponsor? What is a Sponsor? Typically, a sponsor is someone who pays an amount to the activity and does not plan to exhibit. A sponsor can be: A commercial interest company An organization that knows the planner Private individual supporting the conference
