  1. Expectations Arrive promptly Dress Code Behaviour during Ceremony Stay in your seat

  2. Cap & Gown are yours to keep Gown: please take it out of the bag as soon as you get home and hang it up. Then iron/steam it before the ceremony. Stole. There is a seam that sits on your shoulders. Hat & tassel. Make sure tassel is attached tightly. Write your name on the inside of your cap. Honour cord: For students who were on the honour roll in grade 11 & 12 and did not have an N as a final work habit mark in any course.

  3. Cap & Gown are yours to keep Do NOT bedazzle/decorate your cap before the ceremony. The elastic on the cap goes at the back of your head. Bobby pins to keep it on?

  4. What to wear with the gown Wear something nice under your gown. You will see your collar, lower leg & shoes. Recommendations: o Collared shirt o Tie o Dress or pants o Dress shoes (you will have to walk up and down 6 stairs...)

  5. Masks Optional We want everyone to feel comfortable. You can personalize your mask You can take them off before going across the stage or leave them on.

  6. Arrival Granville St. Entrance- 10:00 am In Cap and Gown Leave plastic and hanger in the vehicle or at home Leave purses, jackets etc. with your parents, there is no "coat check" Family/Guests use Smythe St. Entrance

  7. Marshalling Arrive Receive Reader Card from table You will be numbered and colour-coded Find your colour-coded area and line-up in numerical order (alpha) on the stairs Final inspection done by staff regarding your gown, v-stole, cap, etc. Choir, you are special. Please follow Mr. Smith s and Mr. Luniw's instructions

DEMONSTRATION Hand reader card to Readers before the stage Walk carefully up the stairs As your name is read, move toward centre of the stage VP: Graduation Folder and move your tassel from the right to the left. Mr. Clarke: SMILE for a photo (you will get the photo for free later) Exit Stage Right

  13. Time to get your Regalia Starting with the BC Dogwood Graduates o Enter the drama room from the East doors (biology side) o Pick up your regalia o Exit the drama room through the West doors (chemistry side) o Go down the stairs to the MPR o Pick up your yearbook and award certificates.

  14. IB Grade 12's Please go to your lockers and finish cleaning them out. Take off the lock and come back to the main gym When the BC Dogwood graduates are through the drama room, we will direct you to get your regalia. (East door --> West Door) Then take your lock with you down to the MPR to get your yearbook and awards.

  15. If you're picking up regalia for someone else... NO ONE can pick up a yearbook for someone else The person MUST have emailed Ms. Tsui and Ms. Pfingsten earlier this week, so that we have a written record of who will be picking up gown.
