Finding Perfect Peace and Trust in Isaiah 26:3-4

Isaiah 26:3,4
3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
4 Trust in the LORD forever, For in
YAH, the LORD, is everlasting
strength.
Isaiah 26:3
(Young's Literal Translation)
An imagination supported Thou
fortifiest peace—peace! For in Thee
it is confident.
Isaiah 26:3
(Amplified Bible)
You will keep in perfect and constant
peace the one whose mind is
steadfast [that is, committed and
focused on You—in both inclination
and character],
Because he trusts and takes refuge
in You [with hope and confident
expectation].
PEACE DISRUPTERS
1. Vain imaginations
2. Unexpected disturbances
    (news, situations, etc.)

3
. Worry

4
. Anxiety

5
. Fear
MIND IS STAYED
Isaiah 26:3,4
3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
4 Trust in the LORD forever, For in
YAH, the LORD, is everlasting
strength.
Stayed

= to lean upon, to rest upon, to
lean against, to rest self
= take hold of, stand fast, stand
firm on

Most peace disrupters are a
preoccupation in our minds with
wrong things.
Replace worry with God’s word.

Replace fear with faith.

Replace anxiety with assurance.
BECAUSE HE TRUSTS
Isaiah 26:3,4
3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
4 Trust in the LORD forever, For in
YAH, the LORD, is everlasting
strength.
Trust = Faith = Believe
ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING
Philippians 4:6-8
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in
everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let
your requests be made known to
God;
7 and the peace of God, which
surpasses all understanding, will
guard your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-8
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things
are true, whatever things are
noble, whatever things are just,
whatever things are pure, whatever
things are lovely, whatever things
are of good report, if there is any
virtue and if there is anything
praiseworthy—meditate on these
things.
WHY WORRY?
Matthew 6:25-34
25 "Therefore I say to you, do not
worry about your life, what you will
eat or what you will drink; nor about
your body, what you will put on. Is
not life more than food and the
body more than clothing?
26 Look at the birds of the air, for
they neither sow nor reap nor
gather into barns; yet your heavenly
Father feeds them. Are you not of
more value than they?
Matthew 6:25-34
27 Which of you by worrying can
add one cubit to his stature?
28 "So why do you worry about
clothing? Consider the lilies of the
field, how they grow: they neither
toil nor spin;
29 and yet I say to you that even
Solomon in all his glory was not
arrayed like one of these.
Matthew 6:25-34
30 Now if God so clothes the grass
of the field, which today is, and
tomorrow is thrown into the oven,
will He not much more clothe you,
O you of little faith?
31 "Therefore do not worry, saying,
'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall
we drink?' or 'What shall we
wear?'
Matthew 6:25-34
32 For after all these things the
Gentiles seek. For your heavenly
Father knows that you need all these
things.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God
and His righteousness, and all these
things shall be added to you.
34 Therefore do not worry about
tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry
about its own things. Sufficient for
the day is its own trouble.
I must have faith in God.
I must focus on the Kingdom of
God.
ASLEEP IN A STORM
Matthew 8:23-27
23 Now when He got into a boat, His
disciples followed Him.
24 And suddenly a great tempest
arose on the sea, so that the boat
was covered with the waves. But He
was asleep.
25 Then His disciples came to Him
and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save
us! We are perishing!"
Matthew 8:23-27
26 But He said to them, "Why are
you fearful, O you of little faith?"
Then He arose and rebuked the
winds and the sea, and there was a
great calm.
27 So the men marveled, saying,
"Who can this be, that even the
winds and the sea obey Him?"
