Faculty Athletic Mentors (FAM) Program at University of Central Arkansas

The Faculty Athletic Mentors (FAM) program at the University of Central Arkansas aims to develop student-athletes into leaders both academically and athletically by fostering strong relationships between faculty and students. Through providing tools for academic success and guiding rational life decisions, FAM mentors strive to inspire and motivate student-athletes to become exemplary leaders and role models in their academic and athletic pursuits.

2. What is FAM? Mission To develop student-athletes into leaders in the classroom and in their sport by building stronger relationship between faculty and student-athletes Short term goals Provide tools for academic success and skills to make rationale life decisions. Long term goal Motivate and inspire student-athletes to become leaders and role models in the classroom.

3. Faculty Athletic Rep A FAR is a member of the faculty at an NCAA member institution who has been designated by the institution to serve as a liaison between the institution and the athletics department, and also as a representative of the institution in conference and NCAA affairs.
