Ray Toro Ray Toro Ray Toro(born Raymond Toro), was born July 15, 1977(age 37) in Kearney, New Jersey. He played back up guitar for the band and he was well known for being the happy go lucky one as he was almost always smiling and having fun.
Bob Bryar, Michael Pedicone, Mike Pellisser, James Dewees Bob Bryar, Michael Pedicone, Mike Pellisser, James Dewees The band had 4 drummers. James Dewees was the drummer that finished with the band. Bob Bryar is probably the most well known of the four because he was with them during their most infamous concept album, The Black Parade.
The Beginning of The Band The Beginning of The Band The band started in New Jersey, were all the members lived. The formed in 2001, it originally consisted of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way, guitarists Frank Iero and Ray Toro, and percussionist Bob Bryar. They first signed with Eyeball records who released their debut album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love in 2002.
I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love This was the bands debut album, released in 2002 with Eyeball Records. This album included the songs Skylines and Turnstiles, Cubicles, Drowning Lessons, and Headfirst For Halos. This album wasn t a huge success until their next album was released, and fans got interested.
Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge This album was what made the band known, it was released on June 8, 2004. Helena was their first big break. Once the word was out about this new band, they were big, they re theatricality and genuine personalities were huge hits with the fans. I m Not Okay (I Promise), Thank YOu For The Venom, and The Ghost Of You were some more stars of this album.
The Black Parade The Black Parade The Black Parade eclipsed the success of their previous album, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, when it was released on October 24, 2006. This album was a breakthrough, a new chance to show what they were really about; Giving a little bit of hope to someone in a bad situation, or someone who just really needed something to give them hope. One of the main messages of this album was to let people know that it was okay to be hurt, or upset. That it was okay to feel however it was you felt, and to be whoever it was you were.
Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys Danger Days: True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys made it s revolutionary release on November 19, 2010. This was the band s last album (excluding their greatest hits album, May Death Never Stop You, and the singles compilation, Conventional Weapons). During the making of this album the band was pushed to the very edge. They lost their drummer, almost shattered, and seriously contemplated walking away entirely. Other bands may have quit, but MCR stuck it out. They teamed up with an old friend that helped them pick up the pieces and emerge a better, stronger band. This album was a combination of frontman Gerard Way s passions of comic book writing and music. He created a storyline for the album. The Na Na Na music video actually did become one of the comic books he later wrote.
The End Of The Band, Not The Idea The End Of The Band, Not The Idea My Chemical Romance ended with one last show in their hometown of Belleville, New Jersey on March 22, 2013. They played their last note together and sung their last line together, So Long And Goodnight the ending line of the song Helena. Records and books and websites and magazines and wikis may say 2001-2013 but, the band and their fans disagree. Gerard Way said It may be over. But it can never die, for it is not a band, it is an idea . This idea was An idea of being who you are, never letting society break you into it s mold, respecting and loving each other for who they are, that it s okay to feel hurt, angry, upset, that it s okay to say goodbye, to leave something that no longer makes you happy, that it s okay to forgive. This band touched so many lives, saved others, changed everyone who came in contact with them and their music.
