  1. CATALINA ISLAND FIELD TRIP-Feb. 28thMar. 3rd

  2. When dropping off your kids Please take time to check your kids bags for any thing that is not appropriate. Ex: alcohol, drugs, vaps Any child caught with any items not appropriate will be taken to Avalon and you will have to make arrangements to pick them up & get them home. This rule also applies to anyone engaging in dangerous behavior or disrespect towards adults or other children or camp facilities.

  3. Reporting to the bus & stops along the way Check in at the bus: In front of Payne Gym No later than 10:45 pm on Thursday February 28th If there is a delay for any reason contact me at: 602-739-6673 We will be making 2 stops along the way 1st stop will be at a truck stop 2nd is at McDonalds once we get near port We will be making 1 stop on the way back In Blythe for dinner Need to bring money if you want to get something to eat and or drink

  4. Leave on a ferry which is next to the Queen Mary ship CHECK-IN: 8:30 am This is our camp ARRIVAL: ~11:30 am A sack lunch will be provided upon arrival

  5. WHEN WE ARRIVE AT CIMI Brief introduction: Rules Expectations Duties Then we go into our 1st activity

  9. SOME EXPECTATIONS AND RULES Students will participate in all activities There will be swimming involved so make sure you will be ready for this. You are expected to clean up after yourselves. There are set times for everything including eating, set-up, & clean-up; you must be on time. Be respectful and courteous to everyone If you are told not do go somewhere or not to do something don t (you don t want to see my dark side)

  10. Water Conservation The camp is low on water supply so . They are asking you to take only one shower per day or less. Bring a water bottle with you and bring it when in the dining hall so you are not tossing any water away.

  11. CIMI STORE AT CAMP CMI Store There is a store to buy t-shirts and sweatshirts If interested bring money for this

  12. RETURN TRIP Leave on the ferry from camp on Sunday at 12:00 pm Lunch will be provided Arrive back on the mainland at ~3:00 pm

  13. PERMISSION SLIPS AND MEDICAL FORMS Please complete and signed -due FEBRUARY 6TH (WED). We need to have time to organize everything and to report to CIMI any health and dietary needs. - if you have asthma you will be required to bring your inhaler or they will not let you snorkel (no exceptions) - if you have allergies that require an epi-pen you will need to have that with you at all times.

  14. If you need to reach their little darlings . EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBER ONLY 310-510-1622 There is no cell service at camp (it s basically hit or miss out there for service) You will be able to use your phones when you get back on the mainland.

  16. Parent Meeting: We will be having a parent meeting: FEBRUARY 13TH (WED) 6:30PM JSU (Jones Student Union)

PICK A BUDDY one person guarantee WRITE DOWN ON A PIECE OF PAPER YOUR NAME AND THE NAME OF ONE PERSON YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE PAIRED UP WITH DURING THE ACTIVITIES & ALSO WHO YOU WOULD LIKE TO ROOM WITH.
