The growth of complexity led to the development of Information Technology, enabling efficient creation, processing, storage, and delivery of information. Information language and communication allow sharing of information across various systems for different purposes.

EVOLUTION OF INFORMATION PROCESSING
DATA Term Data may be defined as any collection of raw facts and figures.
FOR EXAMPLE: Surveyors of newspaper companies visit door to door to collect data about the type and number of news papers being read by different families. These unprocessed facts do not convey any meaning to the newspaper company, but they can be used as a base for many conclusions after arranging them in order.
INFORMATION Information is processed form of data. Arranging data in a meaningful form produces information. Information is converted from data, which can be used fro decision making. Process of converting data into information is called Data Processing .
EVOLUTION OF INFORMATION PROCESSING Computerization of almost every aspect of our life has been possible due to quest of man for becoming better and better. As the world grew, it became harder to manage every activity. With the growth of complexity, the volume of data increased, which then needed more processing to find a result. Computers solve this problem through speed, accuracy and timeliness.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Information Technology refers to creation, gathering, processing, storage and delivery of information. IT processes raw data into useful information.
INFORMATION LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION. The information obtained is stored in the form, which is understood by all users of the system. Users are those people, which derive direct or indirect benefit by the use of computers. Thus information is communicated from one to other computer fro various purposes. There are certain set of rules which govern the communication from one computer with other one. Through this communicating, a piece of information can be shared by computers which are physically apart by a great distance.
