  6. Instructional Programs PART C: Student Outcomes On the course level, list all the courses that have current student learning outcomes (included in the course outline) and provide link to the course outlines for review purpose. Provide a plan and timeline to include student outcomes for the courses that do not have one. On the program level, list all programs (and degrees) that have current student learning outcomes. List or describe all assessment mechanisms you are using to evaluate SLOs. Provide results of any analysis. Will be updated for 2013 to include improvement plan

  7. Student Services PART G: Student Learning Outcomes 1. What are the SLOs for the program? 2. What process was used (or plan to use) to develop these outcomes? 4. Have you assessed and analyzed data outcomes? Please provide a brief summary of your assessment. 5. How have you used the assessment information to revise your program and improve the services?

  8. Example for Instruction: Paralegal Keep in mind: assessment matrices developed after PR completion 1st reviewed SLOs and assessment in all courses leading to degree improve outcomes assessment: First, course-level SLOs need to be linked more effectively with program-level SLOs, simplifying the process of assessment. Once this is done, it will be simpler to calendar the assessments as well. Second, the program hopes to add additional assessment tools. Multiple measures of assessment will provide an added dimension of understanding into student success and how the program can continue to help students succeed

  9. Example for Student Services: EOPS Assessment Results: 371 EOPS students pre-post test. Majority of students displayed an increase in knowledge. However, there were particular questions where student knowledge decreased after the orientation. Analysis: Recommendation 1: Review and revise orientation modules that contain the information which may have led to decrease in knowledge. Recommendation 2: Ensure that the same number of students complete the pre-post tests to maintain assessment integrity. Improved Services: No, since the SLO s are newly identified, the program will be doing assessment during the spring 2012 semester. Based on the data the staff will consider making modifications to improve services.

  10. SLO Assessment Integration Key Points Assessment data to date; course and program Indicate program improvement plan Summarize data results: look for commonalities Recommend program/ department improvements Utilize data for resource allocation
