ERCOT Severe Weather Drill Task Force ERCOT Severe Weather Drill Task Force Chair: Nate Perio (Center Point Energy) Vice-Chair: John Jarmon (ERCOT) ERCOT sent market notification on 7/9/24. This drill is mainly for communication and Emergency notifications between market participants and ERCOT. No simulation or CEHs expected for this event. Facilitation Window Thursday 8/29/2024 from 0800 to 1300. ERCOT expects market participants to send them a Single Point of Contact for this drill before August 15th Send the contact information to systemoperationstraining@ercot.com
ERCOT Black Start Training Task Force ERCOT Black Start Training Task Force Chair: John Jarmon (ERCOT) Vice-Chair: Nate Perio (Center Point Energy) Dates are firm for the weeks of October 14th November 21st, ERCOT is planning to send the market notification by first week of September. No pilot session is planned to be included for this year. Training will include a CBT portion before the in-person session. The CBT portion will have CEHs and will be completed through ERCOT LMS site. CBT portion will be pre-requisite before attending the in-person session. In-person session is planned for Two and a half days (Tuesday afternoon, all day Wednesday, and all day Thursday)
ERCOT Operations Training Seminar Task Force ERCOT Operations Training Seminar Task Force Chair: Manuel Sanchez (Oncor) Vice-Chair: Aaron Ballew (ERCOT) ERCOT will plan to include some additional topics related to QSEs for 2025 seminar. ERCOT will include additional speakers from market participants as available. No EEA or emergency training simulation with the seminar. ERCOT is planning to host next year s OTS on March-April timeframe (cycle 2).
