Development of Energy Saving Window Thermal
Performance Simulation Training
This workshop follows the success of the first one taken
place in June 2011.
An activities towards the establishment of
Building
Materials Testing and Certification Center (BMTCC)
.
The workshop runs under the cooperation among 4 parties
DEDE
(Dr. Prasert Sinsukprasert)
USDOE
(Mark Le France and Cary Bloyd)
US Consultant
(Bipin Shah)
KMUTT
 (Dr.Pattana Rakkwamsuk)
Proposal was submitted to APEC Secretariat Office in
Singapore in
June 2012
and a grant to run the workshop
was awarded in mid of
July 2012
.
In the proposal, responsible role
Dr.Prasert (DEDE) is the
project overseer
Dr.Pattana (KMUTT) is responsible for
organizing
the workshop
A four-day workshop
the first day will be arranged for
a policy workshop
the rest will be a
window performance software
training
The project costs
USD

$98,956.25
Only
USD
67,156.25 was requested from APEC
(
USD
19,000 for labour and hosting)
The rest will be a
self-funding
Project update
Initially, the workshop was planned to be
organized in September 2012. Unfortunately, we
could not make it due to the fact that September
was too soon by the time the proposal was
approved.
We have rescheduled the workshop to some time
in February.
Project update (Cont.)
What is the status of the project?
In short, we can say:
(1)
DEDE has appointed KMUTT to organized the
workshop.
(2)
The contract between APEC and KMUTT is being
developed.
(3)
The workshop is expected to take place in
February 2013
.
