Empowering Women Through Convergence of MGNREGA and NRLM for Rural Development
Planning and implementing the convergence of MGNREGA and NRLM is crucial for empowering women through livelihood security and poverty alleviation. Social mobilization, job card issuance, and active SHG participation are key strategies for successful implementation. SHGs play a vital role in supporting MGNREGA by facilitating awareness, participation in labor budget planning, and monitoring work progress. MGNREGA, in turn, can stimulate the formation of more SHGs and enable collective asset development for sustainable livelihood generation.
