Dash To Success Lead Team A cross functional equity focused team charged with setting a vision, determining system change priorities, identifying resources, concrete deliverables, and project leads. Dean of STEM/Guided Pathways Dean of Student Enrollment Services Guided Pathways Coordinator IDEA Officer Counselor Institutional Research Career Counselor Two Instructional Faculty PR Marketing Facilitates the scaling of Guided Pathways essential practices. This team keeps the system redesign momentum thriving.

  3. Staying connected to the Dash to Success Project 2 options: Direct and Filtered Check your email! Direct: opt-in to case making, planning, informational and inspirational communications by responding to the short survey sent to all faculty and staff just now. Filtered: All Deans, Chairs and Senators (Faculty and Classified) will be automatically given the direct update and information feed above. They will highlight news and information they feel appropriate even to those of you who didn t opt in to the direct communication feed.

  4. Guided Pathways Guided Pathways, an equity-focused framework that allows us to forge clear paths for students and remove systemic obstacles to their success. Guided Pathways is a structure to provide all students with clear enrollment avenues, course-taking patterns, and support services. This framework centers the student experience in system-wide decision making and helps us meet the goals of theVision for SuccessandCall to Action.

What Guided Pathways Seeks To Achieve Advance Equity: Removing barriers that today s students face, particularly students of color, first-generation students, students from low-income backgrounds, and working adults. Transform Institutions: A highly structured, comprehensive approach to systemic change to improve students attainment of skills, credentials, and socioeconomic mobility. It is founded on the principle that everything can and should change. Redefine Readiness: Fundamentally shifting the conversation about what it means to put students first, encouraging colleges to focus on their readiness for students rather than students readiness for college. Redesign Supports: Recognizing that students need more than financial support and resources to be successful. It allows colleges to recognize and holistically support students academic and non- academic needs.

CA Policy Context for GP A Framework for Integration & Statewide Reform In 2017, California Legislature passed the Guided Pathways Grant Program specifying that Guided Pathways would be the framework implemented by the California Community College System to meet the Vision for Success Goals In addition, the legislature has supported integration by tying some funding of programs and initiatives to Guided Pathways implementation. Assembly Bill 19 (California Promise Grant) Assembly Bill 705 (Equitable Placement) Student Equity & Achievement Program Vision for Success is the north star for our system The outlined goals focus on supporting students to reach their academic goals and closing equity gaps at the college and regional level.

Student Equity Plan Guided Pathways Section By transforming institutional structures and processes, aligning efforts across a college, and redesigning holistic support for students who need it most, the Guided Pathways framework centers the student experience in decision making and helps us meet the goals of the Vision for Success and Call to Action. Each college in the system has submitted an annual Scale of Adoption Assessment detailing progress and goals to improve the student experience. Please provide a summary of how your college s equity efforts align with achieving your institution s guided pathways goals.

  11. Dash To Success Project: Student Success Teams Cross-functional campus team working to design and pilot a Community of Interest (COI) based Student Success Team (SST). The SST model will use a data driven cohort management approach to assist students from entry to completion with a focus on equitable outcomes. Focus on creating targeted and timely interventions that connect the students who need it most to the proven success services we provide.

  12. Completion, Connection, Confidence Disaggregating data to understand the student experience and identify those students who need student support most. Explicit focus will be placed on improving equity outcomes across a broad spectrum of metrics consistent with our Student Equity Plan.
