Personal Protective Equipment recommendations per CDC guidance:
 
Wear disposable gloves and gowns
 
If gowns are not available, coveralls, aprons or a work uniform may be used
 
Ensure gloves and gowns are compatible with any cleaning/disinfecting products being used
         
Reusable clothing should be laundered after use

Guidance from the CDC on cleaning linens, clothing and other such items can be found in the these documents:
Cleaning and Disinfection for Community Facilities
 
and 
Cleaning and Disinfecting Your Home
 
Put on appropriate PPE
 
Avoid shaking dirty laundry
 
Launder items according to manufacturer’s instructions and in the warmest appropriate water
 
Dry items completely
 
Clean and disinfect clothes hamper or any other containers that held dirty laundry
         
Remove gloves and gown carefully to avoid contamination of the wearer
         
Wash hands immediately with soap and water for 20 seconds. If for some reason soap and water are not
 
available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol

Guidance from the CDC on cleaning soft surfaces can be found in the following document: 
Cleaning and
Disinfection for Community Facilities
 
Remove visible contamination if present and clean with a cleaner appropriate for the surface
 
Launder items following the procedure outlined in the previous slide if the item can be laundered
 
If the item cannot be laundered, use an EPA-approved disinfectant

)
 that is suitable
 
for the surface
         
If it has been more than 7 days since the person with suspected/confirmed COVID-19 visited or used the
 
facility, additional cleaning and disinfection of a surface is not necessary.
