  1. Some of our brokenness is scary Certain sins Intense anger behavior PTSD Mental illness Those around them in society often voice or display fear.

  2. The Lord adds the broken to His church The broken not only include someone guilty of falling short of God s glory. Jesus sought the lost of all sorts: Matt 9:12-13 Various Immorality. 1 Cor. 6:9-10 The demon possessed. A murderer. Acts 8 (Acts 9:26-27)

  3. Fear is natural but doesn t help brokenness Fear protects self (and their loved ones) but doesn t help the broken. Specifically, when one of US (God s child) reaches out asking for help FEAR does not seek to HELP THEM. NOTICE: Fear ultimately makes the relationship as an us vs. them mentality, even if unintentionally.

  4. Perfect Love always helps brokenness Christians are not called to solve every problem that someone else has. Christians are called to love every person, especially one named a brother. 1 Jn 4:7-21 Verbalize our love for one another. Be a shoulder for brethren to open further and share their burden with you. Gal 6:2

  5. Soap Box Moment I thank God for last Sunday when Christians poured their hearts out and shared ALL THE UGLY, GORY, SHAMEFUL burdens they ve been bearing alone in this world. These are the moments we need more of so that the church can truly grow in God s grace and wisdom.

  6. What dictates your actions: What dictates your actions: divine love or human fear? divine love or human fear?
