HISTORY June 9,1957 Eleventh Street Baptist Church officially constitutes. Pastor Charles McMahill becomes its founding Pastor with 142 charter members. 1985 Pastor Bob Ryan is called. 1993 Pastor Don Brackbill is called. 2005 Pastor Jarrell Jones is called.

BELIEFS At the heart of everything we believe is the simple gospel message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Paul: Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures I Corinthians 15:1,3-4 NIV
We have other beliefs that further define who we are. A document that spells out our beliefs more specifically is called The Baptist Faith and Message. This document is called a Statement or Confession of Faith.
The introduction explains how The Baptist Faith and Message came to be, and how such statements of faith are used in our churches. Article I. The Scriptures We hold the highest regard for the authority of Scriptures.
All Scripture is inspired by God II Timothy 3:16 NASB The church affirms the HOLY BIBLE as the inspired Word of God and as the basis of all our beliefs and practices. No other document shall take precedence over the Holy Bible in the life, decisions, and governance of this church. (Bylaws 3.01)
Article II. God Along with other mainline, historic, Christian traditions, we affirm belief in the Trinity God revealed in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. baptizing them in the name of THE FATHER and THE SON and THE HOLY SPIRIT Matthew 28:19 NASB
Article III. Man Article IV. Salvation How we are lost because of our sins, and how we can be saved by what Jesus has done. We affirm that we are saved by grace through faith alone, not by works.
For it is by GRACE you have been saved, through FAITH and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God NOT BY WORKS, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
Article VI. The Church One Baptist distinctive is the autonomy of the local church. This is a sovereign and democratic Baptist church UNDER THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST. The membership reserves unto itself the exclusive right of SELF- GOVERNMENT in all phases of the spiritual and temporal life of the church. (Bylaws 5.01)

Article XI. Evangelism and Missions Historically a very strong part of Baptist life. William Carey, often called the Fatherof Modern Missions, was an English Baptist.
Article XVII. Religious Liberty Another important Baptist contribution to Christian thought and society. Baptists were instrumental in the passage of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the USA which guarantees the free exercise of religion.

COOPERATIVE MISSIONS This church...recognizes and sustains the obligations of MUTUAL COUNSEL AND COOPERATION... This church will cooperate with and support the Inland Empire Southern Baptist Association, the California Southern Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention (Bylaws 5.03)

Brief History of the Cooperative Program The Southern Baptist Convention came into being in 1845. The focus of the SBC has always been joining churches together for the accomplishment of the Great Commission. Matthew 28:19-20
In the early years each agency of the denomination appealed directly to churches for financial support. The result was competitiveness between agencies, overlapping pledge campaigns, financial deficits, and frequent emergency appeals.
In 1925, the Convention changed to what we call the Cooperative Program. Individual churches now combine their financial support to conduct all the various mission endeavors in a coordinated and unified way. This has proved to be a tremendously efficient and effective way of doing missions.
Theres one reason for the Southern Baptist Convention The Great Commission Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20
In 1925, the SBC brought its resources together under one banner The Cooperative Program. Since that time, CP has grown to be one of the most effective and efficient ways of propelling the Gospel.
So, where do we start to change the world? It really does begin with you. Out of gratitude and obedience to God, you commit to give back to Him a portion of what He has provided you through your local church. These are your tithes and offerings.
Our church decides the next step. The entire congregation prayerfully decides how much of these gifts will be committed to reaching people in your state and around the world through the Cooperative Program.
This amount is forwarded to our state Baptist convention. Each year the state convention decides how much of this money will stay in our state for missions and how much will be sent on for worldwide missions.
When the national Southern Baptist Convention meets each year, representatives (messengers) from churches decide how to divide the balance of the churches gifts to impact people at home and around the world.
See how it works? When resources from millions of people in thousands of churches are combined, the potential for maximum impact grows.
The Bottom Line People who are lost hear the gospel and respond to God s love all around the world.
