have effective WORK HABITS! Know their class schedule and bring all supplies needed to each class Listen carefully to teacher instructions and follow them Complete all homework and class assignments on time Ask for help from the teacher when they are unsure of the material being covered
have excellent ATTENDANCE! Arrive on time for all classes both at the start of the day and following breaks Attend school regularly so that little to no teacher instruction is missed Ask for handouts and work missed or access these from the teacher s website when time is missed from school
**NOTE: 3 Unexcused Lates or Unexcusd Leaving Early= 1 Unexcused Absence** LATES: 7:05- Teachers complete attendance. Any student who comes after that time is late. 7:20- Attendance is sent to the Nurse or to the Support Room in the Boys Building After 7:20 a.m.- Students are required to report to the Nurse (girls) or Mr. Shawn (boys) for a late slip which they are to present to their teacher when they arrive in class. EARLY DISMISSAL: If parents come and request that their child leave school early, someone from Registration will come to collect the child from class. ABSENCES: 1stTerm: 7 Unexcused Absences = No assessment opportunity 2ndTerm: 10 Unexcused Absences in total= No assessment opportunity 3rdTerm: 12 Unexcused Absences in total= No assessment opportunity **NOTE: Students who are denied assessment must write their Arabic assessments in the summer.
