  3. You are the President Being elected President by your peers is an honour, and one that is not to be taken advantage of. Your role as President is fleeting, while the role of President is permanent. If your mindset is focussed on bettering the club and setting the next President up for success, your club will see never ending growth.

  4. The Presidents Duties Create a supportive and collaborative atmosphere Develop relationships with other organizations within your school and community Create strategies to continually improve the club Ensure all club meetings/board meetings are well planned and enjoyable

  5. Organize and Execute Your time is important, and most presidents wear many hats in life. It s important to be organized and having a running to do list, and execute on high priority items first.

  6. Being a Visionary If you have a direction you believe the club should go in, it is important to inspire the other members to also believe in the direction and not delegate. When you pull rank, you have failed. If you have members who are passionate about a cause or an event, it s important to support their vision and empower them to take action

  7. Showing Weakness is a Strength Delegating is an integral task to develop. Many hands make light work. Knowing when your plate is too full, when ensure longevity in your life.

  8. Problem Solvers Set their Direction in Life During your role as President, you will be faced with a variety of problems Having the ability to step back, take in all of the information and thinking before making a decision is key to success Businesses pay for Problem Solvers
