The European Chess Union and
Educational Committee of ECU are
inviting all National Chess Federations
of the ECU to the First ECU School
Team Internet Championships
Winner teams in each age category
will be invited to European School
Chess Championship in 2018, hotel
and meals provided.
Entry fee: €100 per team
Format:
 Online team tournament
When:
 Nov. 16 (U11) and Nov 23, 2017 (U17)
Age groups:
 U11 (under 11) and U17 (under 17)
Team limits:
 one team of each age group per
ECU National Chess Federation
Team composition:
 4 players (2 boys, 2 girls)
from the same school

The European Chess Union and ECU Educational Committee invite National Chess Federations to the First ECU School Team Internet Championships. Winners in U11 and U17 age categories earn a spot in the European School Chess Championship in 2018 with accommodation provided. Qualifying Rounds are recommended to identify top teams. Chess King Playing Zone is the platform for the tournament. Schools must have supervised classrooms with computers or portable devices for participants with internet access. Three steps are outlined for running Qualifying Rounds.
