Eye Clinic:
Optometry/Ophthalmology Services
•
Co-locate all Optometry and Ophthalmology Services
–
This allows both services access to each specialty, the
Optometrist and the Ophthalmologist, to consult with one
another to better serve our patients.
•
To include 9 Opt/Oph chairs.
Note: This will allow opportunity to add growth in both Adult
Medicine and our Specialty Departments by co-locating these
services.
Centralized
Sterilization Hub
•
The Centralized Sterilization Hub will allow us to add the following:
–
Trained Sterilization Processing Staff (new to our organization).
–
Equipment and Space needed for the sterilization process.
Servicing areas:

Dental
–
Specialty
•
Podiatry
•
Uro-Gyn
•
Ophthalmology
•
Dermatology
•
Orthopedics
–
Women’s Services
In Conclusion:
The designated budget for the expansion is
$1,120.000.00.
The expansion of the Dental Clinic, Eye Clinic, and the
Centralized Sterilization Hub will enable Eastmont Wellness to
provide our patients the convenience of: access to Dental and Eye
services that are centrally located among all our clinic sites, free
parking, bus depot for transportation, and also the addition of a
Central Sterile Processing Department for all instruments utilized
within Eastmont Wellness.
Eastmont Wellness is expanding its services to better serve patients in the Alameda Health System. The expansion includes a Dental Clinic, Eye Clinic, and Centralized Sterilization Hub. The Dental Clinic will offer adult services, the Eye Clinic will co-locate optometry and ophthalmology services, and the Sterilization Hub will service various specialty departments. The budget for the expansion is $1,120,000.00, allowing for centralized and convenient access to dental and eye services, along with the addition of a Central Sterile Processing Department.
