  8. TRADICIONAL FEASTS ST. PATRICK S DAY On this day in Irish streets there are loud and boisterous parades and demonstracions of tradicional Irish dancing. 17 th of March in Ireland is celebrated as Saint Patrick s Day. 8

  9. FOOD A typical Irish breakfast is quite fatty. There are saussages, fried eggs, white or black pudding, baked tomatoes and fried mashrooms. A traditonal Irish dinner is usually served on Sunday. It is the Irish stew (stewed lamb with onions and potatoes in gravy). Another popular Irish dish is colcamon boiled potatoes fried in butter with onion and cabbage. After dinner the Irish usually have sweet gingerbread with mincemeat for dessert. 9

  10. NATURE THE GREEN COUNTRY Ireland is called the green country . There is lots of green grass, big forest and rocky mountains there. 10

  11. THE LEPRECHAUN The leprechaun is a character of Irish Mythology. He is about 75cm tall. He is very rich but extremely tricky and if you catch one don t take your eyes off him or he will disappear! He is a very slick talker and loves a bit of fun. a comfortable little home. He usually lives in a small hole in the ground , where he has 11

  12. ART Ireland is most known for its tradicional music and dancing . Riverdance is a theatricall performance of Irish traditional dancing. The modern Irish artists are, for example, Sinead O Connor, Enya or a pop group The Cranberries. 12

  13. LITERATURE There are many famous Irish writters. James Joyce, Jonathan Swift or Oscar Wilde. 13

  14. SPORT Ireland is quite succesful in rugby and hurling. People are mostly interested in gaelic football and horse or dogs races. 14
