Performance and risk factors of dementia were studied in the elderly population of Kalliyoor panchayat, Kerala, India. The validation study utilized tools like MoCA, EASI, and GDS to screen and diagnose individuals. Lower education and older age were identified as risk factors, with the MoCA showing a strong performance with an AUROC curve of 0.902. A systematic review of prevalence studies in India and a qualitative study on utilizing NICE guidelines for dementia care were also conducted as part of the research.
