INTRODUCTION SANITATION is a way of life. It is the quality of living that is expressed in the clean home, the clean farm, the clean business and clean industry, the clean neighborhood and the clean community. Being a way of life it must come from within the people of UPPER WEST AKIM DISTRICT. 3
HOUSEHOLD TOILET PROMOTION HOUSEHOLD TOILET PROMOTION AND CONSTRUCTION. AND CONSTRUCTION. Thirty-Five (35) Household latrines has been constructed during the period under review. 4
WASTE COLLECTION WASTE COLLECTION Two hundred and Four household has been registered with the assembly and has been supply with 20 liter dust bin each has been The Assembly has fourteen communal refuse containers sited at vantage point There is one final disposal site for solid waste There are sixty five cured damping site within the smaller community which are been managed by sanitary labours employed by the assembly 7
SOLID WASTE CONTRACTORS SOLID WASTE CONTRACTORS Zoomlion is the only solid waste contractor in the district 8
WASTE COLLECTION WASTE COLLECTION:- List of Contractors and area of Operation Door to door waste collection Zoomlion is the sole solid waste collector 9

WAY FORWARD WAY FORWARD Unite committee should assist in the control and arrest of stray animals in the community. Permit should be taken before household latrines are contracted Sock away must be contracted to received water from the various homes 11
