Welcome to the CUIMC laboratory door sign generator! This file can be used to generate door signs for the large CUIMC 4 x 4 door sign holders. If you have another type of sign holder, please contact EH&S at email listed below. 1) Please download this file and open in Powerpoint for best results. 2) Please follow instructions on individual slides and fill out each door sign to the best of your ability. 3) If your laboratory uses the following materials, please see the extra slides noted below and contact the emails listed for additional signage: Biohazardous Materials (Slide 5 ) Explosive Materials (Slide 8) Flammable Gases (Slide 8) Lasers - Class 3B or Class 4 (Slide 6) Radioactive Materials (Slide 7) Water Reactive Materials (Slide 8) Please contact labsafety@columbia.edu if you have any questions or concerns about this sign maker. Print this slide as a full page print out, scaled to fit a 8 x11" piece of paper, before cutting out door sign for insertion. Please enter information into premade text boxes. Please enlarge or downsize font to your preference. If more than one PI is in the lab space, please copy and paste slide for next PI. Please copy and paste relevant pictograms from the previous slide onto this slide and configure to your liking. We recommend placing the maximum of 5 pictograms into the open space. If more pictograms are needed, please duplicate this slide for another door sign.
