Community SpeedWatch Complaints to Sussex Police from Drivers Analysis 2023 Disputes Received in 2023 = 577 Dispute/Complaints/Local interventions- Sussex 2023 577 We have received 577 disputes in the year 2023 so far- (there will possibly be a few more to come for 2023, due to post xmas etc ) 365 number taken down incorrectly. Not in area Wrong vehicle registration 22 Sold Vehicle- No longer keeper 76 Not speeding. 48 Someone else driving 9 waving radar about, seeing their personal data Against volunteers (where standing, 12 doing. CSW Yearly Force Nudge Sign Review 2023 / 2024 Sign need Identified Report to be made via Parish / Town Council or CSW Coordinator to REPORT roads.communications@sussex.police.uk roads.communications@sussex.police.uk Rationale and what 3 words location to be included. Triage Board Approval Triage Board will consider the application, the Board meets once per month, decision will be directed to complainant. Triage Board decision is Final. The chosen sign (Check Your Speed Before We Do , SSRP Slow Down Signs) will be placed (Corex Boards A3) for the duration of 3 months only under temporary sign legislation after which they are to be removed. Police Speed Check Area may stay up whilst there is an active group. Installation
CSW Site Request & Approval Process 2023/ 2024. Risk assessment may take up to 14days at busy periods, once approved you will be emailed, it will then turn green in your sites tab. Email To Request log into CSW Online go to sites then site wizard (Instructions under the help button). CSW@sussex.police.uk CSW@sussex.police.uk once the site is entered for attention of SteveO Connell to risk assess. You should stand on the side of the road you are monitoring with traffic heading towards you unless your site is Multipoint Risk Assessed. Each Direction = One site Entry, if you want both directions it needs to be entered twice, once for each direction. If using Multipoint remember each vehicle you record must be given a direction on the input form.

Equipment Procurement 2024 CSW Funding for equipment can be done locally via the Parish Council Generally Section 106 is suitable for this. (owned) Local Neighbourhood Police Property Act Fund. ( Contact your local PCSO Police Community Support Officer) Through Steve O Connell using Joint Action Group or Community Safety Panel Funding. (this remains Police property) Sussex Safer Roads Partnership by filling in the new bid form in the help section of your accounts and submitting to Steve O Connell where it will formally entered into the bid process. (this remains Police property) You must not put bids into more than one of the above without receiving and outcome for your original bid, if in doubt seek advice form SOC. We will not pay to upgrade existing working devices, you may do this independently through your own funding if required using the approved supplier for Sussex Police, once approved Police Equipment must be returned to SOC at SSRP Shoreham for re-issue to a new group. Faulty Equipment should be reported to SOC and a replacement device will be provided like for like ASAP.
