Pillars of Consulting Connect Educate We aim to provide best-in-class resources for Notre Dame students to learn about the ever-expanding consulting industry. These resources help students define "what is consulting?" and "why do I want to pursue a career in consulting?". Prepare We aim to provide developmental opportunities for Notre Dame students throughout both the application and interview process. Enhancing these skills will also ensure each student is walking into his or her first day with pride and confidence. Connect We aim to connect Notre Dame students with alumni and corporate partners to develop lasting relationships. Each relationship is critical to a student's near- and long-term success. Recruiting Overview What is Campus Recruiting? Refers to the process of hiring undergrads (interns) or soon-to-be grads (full-time, entry- level) via campus resources such as the Meruelo Family Center for Career Development On-Campus vs. Off-Campus Consulting is a highly visible industry in recruiting very high number of on-campus postings & interview schedules. Why do firms recruit? High demand for new talent due to turnover rates after 2 3 years Growing field more companies turning to consulting firms to support innovation and growth across industries Proven successful why break what isn t broken? 5
Recruiting Overview, cont. Do all firms recruit on campus? No. We re lucky to have great recruiting relationships with a number of top-tier firms who come to campus multiple times each year. However, many more are willing to hire Notre Dame talent! Coming to campus doesn t directly indicate a firm s willingness to hire. What else should you know? Campus recruiting is the unicorn of job & internship processes. The majority of students find employment via off-campus avenues. Be proactive take control of your search! 6
