Community Learning Exchange What is it? A learning opportunity for community groups Realistically funded with proportionate administration Administered by the Scottish Community Alliance Open to any member of Community Resources Network Scotland
Community Learning Exchange At the first lockdown SCA developed a virtual version of the CLE as a stopgap The stopgap became a pilot 23 organisations have taken part including CRNS members Edinburgh Remakery and Shrub Co-op Informal research indicates that community groups have rapidly become adept at using various communication platforms.
Community Learning Exchange However many community groups have also indicated that there is still a requirement and a desire to return to face-to face learning visits when circumstances allow. But they are also very clear as to when face-to- face visits are appropriate and when virtual or distance learning is more cost-effective and more efficient.
Community Learning Exchange Blended SCA is working on developing a blended version of the CLE based on feedback from groups participating in the virtual version Applicants can choose either route - virtual or face to face.
Community Learning Exchange Blended The objectives remain the same A learning opportunity for community groups An opportunity to increase capacity through shared learning and experience.
Community Learning Exchange Blended So how does it work? There s an application form CRNS will verify the application If approved by SCA a grant offer letter will be sent to the applicant group, along with a grant acceptance form Once the signed acceptance form, agreeing to the terms and conditions, is returned to SCA, the funds will be released The paperwork is not arduous.
Community Learning Exchange Blended What s covered? For virtual or distance learning up to a limit of 13 hours at 35 per hour for planning and delivery.
Community Learning Exchange Blended What s covered? For face-to-face learning visits the costs of a visit up to 750 Including Travel Accommodation Subsistence For the host organisation: Fee of up to 300/day.
Community Learning Exchange Blended What it won t fund The exchange will not fund: Delegate fees for conferences, seminars, workshops etc. Training courses, delivery or attendance.
Community Learning Exchange Blended When? SCA is currently working on guidance and a single application form for the blended version of the CLE Aiming for 7 June launch - CRNS will be informed Meantime - the virtual CLE is still open for applications.
