IMPLEMENTS FOR D35, D40, D45, DX35, DX40, DX45 - PRODUCT TRAINING MANUAL FRONT BLADE FRONT BLADE HIGHLIGHTS 10005726 Dozer or Dozer Blade. Targeted at contractors, municipalities, landscapers, and (for snow removal) owners of large parking lots, estate or farm owners with access roads. Sometimes called a dozer or dozerblade,the702Cisusedforbackfillingatrench, light dozing work or to remove loose dirt, gravel or snow from surfaces, while maintaining existing land contour. Front positioning makes it easier to see and maneuver than rear-mounted blades. An 84" blade is recommended for the models D35 through DX45 to cover the wheel tracks when the blade is in the angled position. Moldboards are fabricated from high-strength steel for durability. The moldboard pivot pin is plated and provided with a lube fitting for durability. Curved Cutting Edges measure 1/2 in. x 6 in. and are made from 1080 steel for strength and wearability. Cutting edges are replaceable and double-beveled so they can be reversed for longer life. Skid Shoes. For snow removal, standard, easily adjustable, skid shoes prevent gouging. Just adjust theshoestoprovidethedesiredclearanceabovethe pavement, put the control lever in float, and go to work. StandardHydraulicBladeAnglingpermitsangling of the blade up to 30 degrees left or right. Hydraulic angle cylinders are anchored alloy-steel pins, for long life. with hardened, A Single-Lever Control, the same used for the tractor loader, permits easy, one-hand operation. Pull the lever back to raise the blade, push the lever forward to lower it. When all the way forward, the lever stays in a detented float position. Move the lever to the left and the blade angles to the left. Move it to the right and the blade angles right. Spring-Trip Design lets the blade pivot upward if it strikes an obstruction, to avoid damage. The trip springs can be locked out if their action is not required. The lift cylinder is double acting allowing down pressure on the blade. 3

This is part of the overall commonality/compatibility of mounting kits for this tractor series. An Efficient, Three-Blade Impeller lifts snow from thecenteroftheaugerandblowsitsmoothlyupward, out the chute. The 27" impeller will throw the snow farther and features an open-center design, which has the advantage of moving material efficiently with lower horsepower requirement. Optional, Dealer-Installed Mid-PTO. Drive comes from the optional, dealer-installed mid-PTO and passes through a heavy-duty reduction gearbox with shearbolt protection. There are no chains or belts in the main drive. Single-Lever Control is achieved with the same two-spool tractor valve used for loader operation, permitting the operator to run the blower with one hand.Pulltheleverbacktoraisetheblower,pushthe lever forward to lower it. With the lever all the way forward in the detented float position, the blower is free to follow the contour of the surface being cleaned. Moving the lever left or right rotates the chute counter-clockwise or clockwise. An Open-Center Auger prevents wet snow buildup and helps break up firm clumps of snow. Flangette sealed bearings have long, trouble-free life. Grease fittingsontheaugertubehelpkeeptheaugermoving smoothly. One shearbolt on each auger section and one between the impeller and worm gear prevent damage from foreign objects. Adjustable Skid Shoes permit level operation at various heights, depending upon surfaces, to prevent stones on unpaved areas from entering the impeller.Skidshoesarealsomadefromabrasion-re- sistant steel. The Blower Base is reinforced to resist bending. The cutting edge is mounted at a 45-degree angle to the ground to prevent ride-up over hard pack. It is replaceable, reversible Rockwell 60 c scale, abrasion-resistant steel to prolong wear. An Optional Hydraulic Deflector Kit will be available beginning with the 2001 season to provide greater operator control of snow placement without leaving the seat.
