  21. INSTRUMENTS/CONTROLS ________________________________________ AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN SYSTEM Y our tractor is equipped with an Automatic Engine Shutdown System. The digital instrument cluster monitors Engine Oil Pressure, T ransmission T emperature, T ransmission System Oil Pressure, T ransmission Lubrication Oil Pressure and Coolant T emperature. If any of these systems are not operating in the normal range, the digital instrument cluster will turn off power to the fuel shutoff solenoid on the injection pump. The fuel shutoff solenoid will stop the flow of fuel to the engine and the engine will shutdown. The automatic shutdown system also includes an override switch which can be used to prevent or override an automatic shutdown. Alt+ to display template information Alt= to hide template information The Automatic Engine Shutdown System is activated at the same time as the Stop Engine Indicator. Thirty (30) seconds after the Stop Engine Indicator is activated, the engine will shutdown. The Stop Engine Indicator is activated by any of the following conditions: A. Low Engine Oil Pressure B. High T ransmission Oil T emperature C. Low T ransmission System Pressure D. High Engine Coolant T emperature E. High PFC Pressure F . Low T ransmission Oil Pressure NOTE: See Service Indicator Lamps (LED s) and Bar Graph Displays (LCD s), Pages 20 through 27 for details on the above system monitors. TRIM THIS EDGE Automatic Shutdown Override Switch The override switch is located on the RH side of the steering console. The override switch has a red indicator which will be illuminated when the switch is in the override position. AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN OVERRIDE SWITCH In an EMERGENCY , the override switch can be used to prevent automatic shutdown or to override the shutdown system after automatic shutdown has occurred. Template Date: 1994_04_29 Template Name: OM_1_col If automatic shutdown occurs due to a malfunction in any of the systems being monitored, correct the cause before starting the engine again. Use the override switch in an emergency to move the tractor to a safe location. A29343 IMPORTANT: DO NOT override the Automatic Shutdown System except in an emergency, as damage to the tractor can result. IMPORTANT: The override switch must manually be returned to the normal operating position to reactivate the Automatic Shutdown System. 17 TRIM THIS EDGE RIGHT PAGE
