The passages from Acts, Genesis, 2 Peter, Ecclesiastes, and Isaiah offer insights into obedience to the Holy Spirit, the prophecy of the coming Savior, warnings about scoffers in the last days, the consequences of willful forgetfulness, the timing of God's promises, the cycle of seasons in life, the justice against evil deeds, and the strength provided by God to the weak. These scriptures emphasize the importance of faith, repentance, fear of God, and trust in His timing.

  1. Acts 16 6Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia.7After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them.

  2. Genesis 3 15And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.

  3. 2 Peter 3 Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder),2that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior,3knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,4and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.

  4. 5For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,6by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.7But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.9The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

  5. Ecclesiastes 3 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

  6. Ecclesiastes 8 11Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.12Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.13But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God.

  7. Isaiah 40 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

  8. 2 Thessalonians 3 13But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.

  9. Galatians 6 7Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.8For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.9And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

  10. Habakkuk 2 2Then the LORD answered me and said: Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. 4 Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.

  11. 1 Corinthians 15 58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord

  12. Lamentations 3 22Through the LORD s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 24 The LORD is my portion, says my soul, Therefore I hope in Him! 25The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. 26It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD.

  13. Romans 13 11And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.12The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.13Let us walk[c]properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.14But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
