Oregon Demographics 2018 Census estimate for Oregon population is 4,190,713 Percent population increase from 2010: 9.4% Percent of population 65 years and older: 17.6% Percent of population White alone (non-Hispanic): 75.3% Percent of population Latino or Hispanic: 13.3% Percent of population Asian (not Caucasian): 4.8% Percent of population African American: 2.2% Percent of population American Indian and Alaskan Native: 1.8%
Health Conditions for Specific Populations
Oregon Workforce Challenges Inadequate supply of providers, particularly in many rural areas on urban underserved areas Inadequate supply of the right providers for the communities needing service Insufficient training infrastructure to create more within Oregon to fill gaps Residency Programs for physicians and nurses Community Colleges for lesser-trained health professionals Increasing complexity of patient conditions worsening health, co-morbidities, addiction, etc. Provider burnout, challenges with resilience, informed in part by patient health and changing conditions of the health care system Determining how to integrate care among physical, oral, behavioral health among changing science and economic factors
