Audio Project 2 ADAM THRAVES AND OLIVER COBBIN
Aim of the project Our aim as a team for this project is to create a product that we are both proud of, one which will be good material for our portfolio s as both musicians and producers. This product will be ready for release.
Project Outline Our project consists of a 5 track EP of our own music As a group we will be composing all the material, this will include the whole recording process We will produce, mix and master the EP to a standard of high professionalism We aim to use a range of effects via the outboard on the mixing desk, to showcase our skills in music production. This project will be a test of our skills as both musicians and producers which is the combination that we both wish to pursue in our post-uni career.
Role of the Producer We will both be undertaking the role of the producer in various ways for the most part Adam will be running the desk as Oliver will be performing for the majority of the recording. Oliver will be running the desk when Adam is doing his drum arrangements. Mixing and mastering will be a joint effort which will be ran in various environments through headphones, through speakers in audio edit suites and in the multitrack suite.
Role of the Musician This is a role which will also be undertaken by both of us - Oliver will be playing most of the instruments, Adam will be performing the drum tracks. We will also be looking at getting some session musicians in for numerous musical parts over the EP.
