  1. Youth Violence Reduction CPF Application Slide Deck Presentation This is your opportunity to make your solicitation stand out! This presentation should be fun and informative, like Shark Tank!

  2. Youth Violence Reduction CPF Application Slide Deck Presentation Submit an electronic copy of the Youth Violence Reduction CPF Application presentation deck (PowerPoint for similar format, not to exceed 10 slides) to Shelley Hudson at shelleyhudson@jis.nashville.org by March 15, 2018. A slide deck template with established questions will be provided to you. Slide deck presentations may include other pertinent information in the notes section of each slide.

  3. Present your application presentation to the evaluation committee on Friday, March 23, 2018 (Time slots to be scheduled by Shelley Hudson on a first come first serve basis). You will have ten minutes to make your presentation, followed by approximately ten minutes of Q&A with the evaluation committee. The ten-minute time limit will be strictly enforced. Presentation day will be open to the public and recorded for posting to the Metro Nashville YouTube channel.   4. Youth Violence Reduction CPF Application Slide Deck Presentation Slide 1: Your Application s Proposal Purpose Frame your proposal purpose in a single declarative sentence. This statement frames for the evaluation team what you plan to speak about.

  5. Youth Violence Reduction CPF Application Slide Deck Presentation Slide 2: Community Need Describe the community need to be addressed. How does this impact the community? Provide data with references that confirm both the size of the problem and the economic impact of the problem.

Description of your ability to gather and analyze data for project outcomes. This includes completeness of the evaluation plan to include what you will do to judge the success or effectiveness of your project. These may include Process measures (Outputs) that quantify the activities of your initiative and Outcome measures that quantify the effect or results that are attributed to your efforts that determine impact and success.

  9. Youth Violence Reduction CPF Application Slide Deck Presentation Slide 6: Business Financial Model Dollars requested for your application. Total cost of your proposal. Estimated budget by category (capital, operations, staff, etc.). Financial and in-kind contribution of other parties to your proposal (Partners, Private Sector, etc.). Any ongoing or recurring costs to maintain once in place.

  10. Youth Violence Reduction CPF Application Slide Deck Presentation Slide 7: Impact or Return on Investment Outline the impact your Proposal has for the Davidson County community. This can be framed as a Return on Investment, Reduction of existing costs, New revenues, or overall quality-of- life impact for citizens. Your impact should be quantified with data and references that support your claims. Has this been tried before by other cities? If so, what worked and lessons learned? Has this been tried in the private sector? If so, what worked and lessons learned? What outcomes do you expect? What are the metrics that define success?

  11. Youth Violence Reduction CPF Application Slide Deck Presentation Slide 8: Team to Execute this Program Who (name an individual) will be leading this project and accepting responsibility and accountability for its costs, timeline, and results? Who are the other individuals who will be assisting this leader in ensuring the execution of this plan (names, titles, etc.) Does the team have any experience doing this already? Are there any specific advisors or experts who will be helping?
